Announcing Barbara Reininger’s New Childrens’ Book!

Press Release – January 21. 2012

Founder/creator of My Kids’ Cookies and former Bainbridge island resident Barbara Reininger has published a children’s book, “Where Does The Itch Go?”

With an obvious love of what makes kids happy, whether it’s freshly baked cookies or a wonderful story to tell, Barbara Reininger knows how to create a winning recipe.  After selling My Kids’ Cookies last year and moving to Salt Lake City, Barbara dusted off a book she’d written for her children years ago and went about getting it published.

Where Does The Itch Go? tells the story of what happens when your itch stops itching.  With wonderful illustrations by her cousin, Daniel Vernola, a NYC Public School Art teacher, the story delights children of all ages with a question that most probably haven’t thought of.  Where does the itch go when you stop itching?

The book is available on Amazon.com.  For details about the book go to www.WhereDoesTheItchGo.com.

  • Sylvaine Francine, that’s me. You know my work. You also know that I love what I do! It comes easily to me and to free you from your emotional bondage and traumas is always rewarding. I also teach workshops on Energy Work and on How to Protect Yourself. (from clinging and unwelcome energies) I also teach Meditation. Last year, I was contemplating all the blessings that Ihave received from meditation. So many, known and also unknown. I felt pulled to somehow give back. Now I facilitate Meditation in prison settings. It feels right, a good thing to do.My offerings to our Open House are: two 1/2 hour consultations free of charge and one Learn To Meditate class for you, your friends and family, employees and colleagues.  ”A Learn to Meditate within your favorite or familiar group kinda thing.”

Lily, Sue and I are excited to have this Open House and to welcome you as our guests! Mark your calendar and after your walk through the Farmer’s Market, come down to our office. On Saturdays the parking is empty! See you on July 23rd. We will be there between 1 and 3!

Much love,

Purses for PAWS

Member announcement and request by Aunty Min’s Specialized Pet Care:

Hello, everyone, I’m a member of BBW and was at the last networking meeting hosted by Rickie.  I am also on the BOD of PAWS of Bainbridge Island & North Kitsap and I am working on a brand new event that we’re doing in May called Purses for PAWS. As I mentioned, this is an inaugural event for us and I wanted to see if I could somehow spread the word through the BBW.  Also, we would like to give each attendee a goody bag so I wanted to offer up the opportunity to members if they’d like to include something in the goody bag. For example, I am putting in a customized mint tin, Susan Wiggs is donating a book (she’s also our presenting sponsor), another person is doing a little baggie w/ some chocolates, someone else is offering $$ off a massage.  So, we’re looking for actual “items” as opposed to only business cards.  We’d like to have a nice bag for the ladies!  :)

Thank you!
Mindy

Purses for PAWS
Sunday, May 15th
Sogno di Vino – downtown Poulsbo
2pm – 4pm

Spend a fun afternoon w/ your girlfriends!  You can shop while you sip!  A ticket to this event might be a nice Mother’s Day present, too!  Since I’m on the committee, I’ve been lucky enough to see most of the items that have come in – WOW….Coach, Gucci, Piero Guidi, Dooney & Bourke, Cole Haan, Ann Taylor, Vera Bradley and many more designer bags…. evening bags, leather, suede, big, small, international, leather, fabric – you name it, we probably have an item that fits your needs!  We have only accepted “gently loved” or new items.  I am in handbag heaven, let me say!  Not to mention the jewelry!!!  Oh my, if you can’t tell – I’m excited for 5/15!  :)

We only have a limited number of tickets – so, don’t wait!  And, please feel free to tell your friends.  This is a fundraiser – so all your $$ goes to a wonderful cause – specifically the PAWS Hartstone Spay/Neuter Fund (which provides minimal-cost sterilization surgeries for the pets of low-income families).

You can download the flyer, here: Purses for PAWS Flyer.

Please feel free to print the flyer and put out at their businesses and/or forward to friends, that would be great!! Below is a link to the website – there are a few items to show you some of the variation.  We want to sell out and have a successful – and FUN – event!!!!
